I love the universe lately. I was all grumpy about having to walk back from the bus stop in the heat but there was a generous amount of cloud cover so I spent most of my walk relatively cool. Then I got to the house and there were packages waiting for me on the doorstep! Packages which include my and mardigrasmaven's copies of Please Be Mine and my Drunken Tiger/Soulman and Minos CDs. Wiiiiiin.

Funny, it's only been 6 days since I last posted. Feels longer than that.

I haven't been around much because I'm taking a break from the social parts of fandom. I came to the horrifying realization that I've begun taking things far, FAR too seriously, and one of the things I used to pride myself on (at least when it comes to my fangirling) was my ability to step back and remember that in the end, it's just fandom. I've been losing that ability as of late, as ertai_lapis and mtfanatic have so kindly pointed out to me, so I decided to go through a period of radio silence. Oh, and to stop reading comment threads. I like things better this way. Especially because fandom has suddenly decided it needs another hate meme. I haven't looked and have no plans to--I never do, really--but it's just a reminder that when fandom starts becoming "srs bznz" then it's time to go do something else. Lately "something else" has been work, but, well.

Today started off absolutely crap and then suddenly made a turn for the absolutely fucking amazing. I lack the energy to explain it all, and I really need to go put clothes in the wash, so a proper story will have to wait for later. But yeah, feeling pretty good right now. I'm even being optimistic and not assuming things will go horribly wrong in a short period of time! \o/

Oh hey, it's the 22nd in Korea. New Epik High album get! Oh, and I suppose it's that guy's birthday today, too. You know, the one I have such a huge crush on. :)

I'm out of things to do, so I decided to post. Got tagged for memes, but for once I'm not in the mood to do them. Yeah, I'm shocked too.

So, my phone was returned to me, but sans phone charms. Yeah. Pretty bummed about that one, but the guy and his wife who found/returned it to me seemed sincere (and hey, were at least nice enough to return my phone.) At some point I might post a wtb over on MtS for the charm, but I doubt anyone's gonna want to give theirs up. Ah well.

I have a learner's permit now! I feel kind of pathetic but thanks to that whole "can't practice without one" thing I didn't have much of a choice. Also, this means I can buy a car. \o/ So that's nice. I am hoping to have my actual license by the end of the month, or at least the first week of August. We'll see.

Also, amusing moment at the DMV:

Me: *reads numbers off the test-your-sight machine*
DMV worker: "...and the 3rd column?"
Me: "...they're all blank. Like, all 4 rows have the 3rd column blank. Are you sure this isn't broken?"
DMV worker: "Pretty sure. Also pretty sure there's no way you're driving without your glasses because your right eye is shot."

I hate it when I find the perfect shell for a character only to find out I can't have it for whatever reason. Damn you, limited molds!

So yeah. That's...pretty much it. I'm gonna go watch 00. Or maybe write. Or maybe just go to bed, seeing as I'm now exhausted for some reason.

And I'm writing up a new list of Dolls That I Will Eventually Get My Hands On, because apparently there's been another one added to the list...? (graymary mentioned wanting to see it, and I do still plan on sharing it--it'll probably go up tomorrow.)

lol, you guys, way to help me remember my massive amounts of love for Kibum. :D Let me clarify a little--I'm not displeased with HIM, but more with the massive, massive fail that is SM's PR department. Something about the way they've been handling his appearances seems off, and it's...disconcerting. :/ Although, like I said to meiface, even if he did decide to leave, I'd support it--so long as the decision made him happy, because I miss him smiling. :(

Today sucked. Let's not talk about it.

In other news, I am blowing off homework in favor of a meme. I don't really expect anyone to do this but it'd be nice if you did? /whoring for attention

In other news, because not everyone is aware of this--I tend to comment sporadically when I'm tired/stressed/frustrated, and I've been a mix of all three for the past week or so. So, yeah. I am reading, though! Just wanted to make that clear.

I really ought to get around to finishing my giant intro post of doom at some point.

Good news is there's no release date for them at American TRUs just yet. I will cry when I go into work and see these things sparkling at me from a shelf.
